Intensive Moscow's Attacks Eliminate Power Across Kyiv

Energy infrastructure under attack in the region
The country's energy systems have faced escalating strikes in recent weeks

During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have caused blackouts in large parts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were injured while residents in the city's east were left without electricity and dealt with problems to water systems, per reports from city officials.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a different aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, according to regional authorities.

Moscow has intensified strikes on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while the country's government has called for "real steps" from international partners to apply pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the America, the EU and the G7 - in supplying defensive weapons and applying penalties," mentioned in a public message.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 projectiles struck the country's power systems, labeling such attacks as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as temperatures become colder.

Government representatives said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were striving to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles damaged power facilities and residential structures in Kyiv.

Several of the people wounded in the strikes on the city have been transported for medical care, per statements from city authorities.

Area administrators said the metropolitan region came under heavy assaults during nighttime hours. A young boy died and three other people were hurt.

The assaults come after evenings of aerial attacks in the territory, sections of which are currently controlled by Russian forces.

The entire country is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are more difficult to spot.

National leaders told reporters that Moscow was purposely seeking to destroy the country's energy grid, with assaults already disrupting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and government agencies were bracing for more assaults.
