I will stamp all over 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the novice remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the customary stare-down, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
